James ("Jamie") Baugh is from Vancouver and he has been practicing in association with Leo McGrady since 1991. He received his law degree from the University of British Columbia and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1988, after articling with Roberts & Muir. He later obtained a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall.

Jamie is a civil litigator with a focus on labour and employment law, defamation, human rights and maritime law. He is a member of Lawyers' Rights Watch Canada and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.

He has taught labour law, philosophy, and criminology at Capilano College and human rights at Douglas College. He is the author of numerous articles on philosophy, law and politics
